DU2DS Challenge 12 Make A Scene

Well,I racked my brains as to what kind of "scene" I would make for Challenge 12 Make A Scene on DU2DS this week. I really liked this image Charlie Skater from Bubbas Digi Studio so decided to use it for this weeks challenge. I coloured him with WC pencils and then cut him out and added some foam pads to the back to raise him from the card a little. The cool background is from a site called Dragon Art. Can't wait to see all the entries this for weeks challenge

New Digi Stamp Blog on the block!

Digi Stamps are becoming so popular, I think this is because they are much cheaper than rubber stamps and you can resize to suit your needs. I have noticed more digi stamp sellers popping up and Bubba's Digital Stamp Studio is one of them. Bubba asked me to do a few cards to show of the stamp designs which I was very happy to do. Check out the blog there are some fab, cute images and best of all they are only 99p per download. There is also a free download for you to try out.

DU2DS Challenge 11 Chocolate & Orange

This week the theme on DU2DS is yummy chocolate and orange a lovely colour combo. I used an Image from Sandra Dry Digi Stamps, this is a fab image. I made a template in psp to cut out the shaped card And a first for me I attempted some card stitching! I stitched the gold scrolls in the bottom corner. Not bad for a first attempt hey?

I added some sparkly flowers I bought from the Joanna Sheen site and some punchies and glitter.

My New Crafting Buddy

Meet Harvey My new little crafting buddy, lol, he has already had a good sniff around my craft space. He is the reason I have not had much time for card craft this week. I have been going to the rescue centre to walk him and this Friday we were finally able to bring him home with us. He is so loving and is settling in to our family like he has been here forever. He is 4 years old and is a staffy/lab cross. How could you resist such a cute face? well I couldn't and we made the right choice he is adorable. I just hope the other pooches at the animal rescue centre get a good home too.

Dare You To Digi Stamp Challenge 10 Ribbons

Wow week 10 already on DU2DS challege Blog, Doesn't time fly when you are having fun? lol

This weeks theme is Ribbons. I really did not know how to approach this challenge and wanted to be really creative with ribbons. As it turned out I wasn't creative with ribbons lol but I did use a very pretty one that has been lingering in my ribbon box unloved for ages and I though it would be perfect to use with Chris's Bluebells Digi Stamp which is just gorgeous. Check out her blog she has some fantastic new designs there is a link in my side bar for Sketching Stamper. I printed out the image twice, one I enlarged to use as a background and recoloured it in psp to a faint bluebell colour then printed a smaller version that I cut out with my nesties and watercoloured. When dry I added a rub on butterfly and a little glitter. I matted onto some deep blue paper with brads added the ribbon and viola! one finished card. I did not have time to decorate the inside yet I have been having a hectic weekand have not had time for much card craft this week. Details to follow later ........
