Delicious Steampunk

I was browsing the web and getting lost in Blogland and all of the fabulous creations that are being made when I came across The Delicious Doodles Blog  and most importantly the gorgeous Digi Stamps for sale in the shop. I just had to have this stamp. I luuurve it!!
She is gorgeous isn't she? I have never made a Steampunk style card before so this was a challenge, I like challenges!
This is the finished result

Didn't turn out too bad did it? I have never coloured Auburn/Ginger hair before but i'm loving how it turned out. I made her slightly 3D by cutting and colouring 3 layers and colouring the parts that are  to be seen with Promarkers.
I made the backing sheet myself with a lot of fiddle farting about using distress inks blobbed over a piece of card then I worked some Cosmic Shimmer Mica Powders into the card to make it metalic looking then let it dry before cutting to size and mounting onto black card that I had distressed the edges of. The frame is from the Silhouette cutting file site, I applied a bit of the cosmic shimmer to that also.
I made the cogs out of card cut to shape on my silhouette then made them all coppery and rusty with the shimmer powder again. I also steampunked up the little butterfly charm with the help my Promarkers and cosmic shimmers also!! The state of my hands and desk after all of this experimenting!!!!!

I will be entering the card into the Delicious Doodles Challenge - Layer It Up!

take care

Wedding Cake Shaped Card

I don't make many shaped cards but thought I would attempt cutting one on my temperamental Silhouette. Well it managed it without too much fuss! The file is a free download from Birds Cards she is so generous sharing her talent. She designs digies as well as cutting files Go Check Her Out!

I made a matching box also

Babies and Bears

Forever Friends Bears make the cutest cards.

I have tried to keep the cards pretty but not overdoing the decorations
the images are die cut stickers
and the papers are from a Boofles paper pack the papers are so sweet and ideal for childrens cards
The hearts border is a Martha punch, The wording was cut on my Silhouette, The heart is Nellie Snellen

Socks Again!

It has been a while since I have blogged, I have been busy doing a little decorating around the house and exploring a few other crafts such as knitting which I have not done since I was a little girl
Anyway I have this card to share today. Male themed cards can be difficult to think of anything except football gardening or beer! Everyone groans at getting socks as a gift but they make a great subject for an amusing card and suit a birthday across the ages

I copied this idea from a card magazine as I thought it was a great card to make for a man
The socks are paper pieced
I have popped the die cut letters on foam pads and added some glaze to make them stand out a little.

I am entering this card into  the secret crafter saturday challenge which is Male themed cards
Cards for men  Spring Colours ( green backing paper)

Valentined Out!!

Hiya
I have a couple of cards to share that were made for a couple of orders for some workmates. Hope they like them..
The Owl card was paper pieced. I cute the pieces on my Silhouette. Lots of swearing and wasted quality papers was had as it never seems to want to play nice and just wants to chew paper. I am going to box it up and buy something better, which is annoying as along with the software I bought for it it cost me well over £200

The Pink Hearts Valentine card was made by using a piccy of the two lovebirds, handsome couple hey?

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges
