Penny Black WK 46 Anything Goes - Bookmark

I made this bookmark for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge where the theme is Anything Goes. I kinda got the idea for the book mark from Mel Stampz Blog she has some fantastic work on there along with lots of free templates and tutorials I spend ages in awe just looking at what she creates. All of the card used is from my scrap draw which a bonus! LOL. This is going to be part of another project for a gift so will show the completed project when finished. It's Monday again :0( back to the grind for me, weekends are far too short! Better go, my lazy legged son has not got his bum out of bed yet, will have to go and roust him. Caroline xx Tools used: Fiskars Punch and Nestabilities

DU2DS Friday Challenge Things With Wings

Great challenge this week at DU2DS Friday Challenge and as the title states "Things With Wings" the challenge is open to lots of interpretations. I took the title literally and made a butterfly! I thought I would try something different and a little out of my comfort zone. Printing On Acetate! I would like to say it was easy but i struggled to get the acetate through my printer lol, I eventually managed it by attaching it to a sheet of white paper. So I changed the colour of the butterfly and added a little drop shadow (psp) then printed multiple images on the acetate. I then cut out the main image and then two layers of the wings. I glittered the wings on the underside and when that had dried I attached the wings to the butterfly with silicone and let that dry.
I used pearl papers that I ran through my Bug to emboss, cut the circles with nesties and the scallops are punched with Fiskars threading water scalloped punch. The flowers are punched with the retro flower punches and the flourish and bookplate are sizzix dies. I attached the butterfly when dried and Voila! I really like this card but how ever many times I tried I could not get a decent piccy, It is much more vibrant in the flesh! Have a fab weekend and I hope you will be joining us this week at DU2DS
Oh, if you like the butterfly digi stamp you can get it here

Remember, we need to see a digi image used and also the colour theme Pink and Green to be in with a chance of winning this week. The papers are downloads not sure who's as I have had them an age. the flowers are punched attached with glittered brads, except the large one which I made myself and then added a punchie and a paper rose. I picked the ribbon up from the local market it's so pretty. I used my new Nesties to cut out Rosabella and then I pricked the edges, added faux stitching and inked around the edges. The theme is carried on on the inner too but the pic I took was rubbish so did not upload it. Have a great weekend! Caroline xx

I coloured it with my Whispers Markers (I now wish I had watercoloured instead!) I'm not too sure what make the DP is all I know that It is called Plaid. I used a clear sakura to make the bunnies nose have an embossed feel. I used a Fiskars punch for the scalloped ribbon and flowers and pearls are from stash.
Why not pop over to Sketch Saturday and check out the super DT's creations
