DU2DS Challenge 18- Distressing

This weeks Dare is all about distressing eg torn/distressed edges, sponged edges, sanding. As usual we need to see a digi image on your project, why not take a look at my fellow DT friends they have produced some stunning work. DU2DS. I have used the fantastic Butterfly Catcher Image by Chris Dark it is part of a set and as soon as I saw them I NEEDED THEM! lol. My distressing is ink sponging around the card base, ragging the edges of the purple card the fairy image is mounted on and again I went mad sponging the edges of my image. I have used whisper markers and distress inks as well as adding some sparkle with gel pens although it has not shown too well Hope the rain eases off this week end Caroline

I made this card for my neice and followed the sketch over at Sketch and Stash

I used my new leaf die cutter and some basic grey papers from my scrap box.

The horse is a digi image coloured with w.c pencils and inks. Tilda is also coloured with inks. The sentiment is a digi download.

Something Sweet

I made this card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge Wk 58 Soft & Sweet. I think this PB stamp is sweet so should fit the challenge fine. I coloured the hedgies with Whispers markers and Distress Inks then cut them out with my Nesties. I then inked around the edges, matted onto some basic grey pink paper and inked around that also. The DP is Dovecraft Weddings which I also inked along the edges. I attached the DP onto the scalloped card with pink brads and added a ribbon and some lace. I inked up the paper roses to make them pinker. The sentiment is a sticker and the charm from stash. The pink ink pad had worked over time on this card lol I have put it away for a rest now ;0)

DU2DS Challenge 16 Anything But A Card

This week our Dare is: Anything but a card and can be anything you like such as a gift bag, gift box, ATC, or a bookmark. which of course must include a digi image. We hope you can join us over at DU2DS There will be a prize this week of two single digi images from Sketching Stamper and two single digi images from Sandra Dry Designs.

I wanted a tall box to house some bath bombs for a gift, I scoured the interenet for a template but I couldn't find the right sized box only teeny weeny ones so had a go at making up my own template from 12x12 card YAYYY! it worked ok lol. The digi rose image is a free Dover image that I have watercoloured and stickle glittered. The papers are also a digi free download and is a set called Rich & Shabby for Gina k designs and were a freeby. I used my nesties and CB folders as well as ribbon, lace and gems from stash

Pink Black & White

This week our theme is Pink Back & White @DU2DS. I made this 8x8 card for a good friend who's birthday it will be soon. I followed the sketch from the Mojo Monday Blog and will be entering my card into their challenge this week.

The DP used are digi downloads I have had them ages so can't remember where thay are from. The perfume bottle Digi Stamp is from the fab Chris Dark's site Sketching Stamper that I have coloured a little with and embossed.I made two copies of the stamp and cut out the bottle stoppers and raised them with some ds foam pads. I matted onto some black card that I cut with my nesties lable die, cuttlebugged and then inked up with a white pad. Flowers and ribbon are from my stash

Friday Sketchers Sketch 59

I made this card for a friends daughters 25th birthday, I have known her since she was knee high to a grass hopper, so it makes me feel sooooo old now she is 25! lol I wanted a fun and funky image so used one of my Miss Anya Stamps watercoloured with pencils. I follwed the sketch by Claudia over at Friday Sketchers. My DP is K&co that I have inked and added faux stitching. I glittered the mulberry flowers and added some punchies. I cut out the sentiment with my nesties. I also made a little bag to hold her pressy. Hope she likes them :0)

DU2DS Challenge 14 Embossing

This weeks challenge at DU2DS is Embossing. It can be wet or dry embossing or both if you like, I loved this weeks challenge as I attemped techniques I have never tried before .We look forward to seeing what you come up with. As always just add the URL of your blog post into Mr. Linky and use a digi image on your project.

The image is a royalty free clip art image that I have glittered and triple embossed, cut out and raised a little with ds foam. My distressed backing is Birds and Swirls CB embossed painted with acrylic paint dried and then sanded I distressed the edges with a craft knife. I sponged distress ink around my scalloped cards edges. The sentiments is from a CD's set
